We just finished watching Never Sleep Again and there was a HOLY CRAP moment that I wanted to share.  Fantabulously Awesome actor David Warner was the original Freddy Krueger, but had to drop out due to some kind of conflict.  We were stunned that we never heard of this before.

I’d never change how it all played out, since I worship Robert Englund’s Freddy, but I found myself craving a peek at that alternate timeline, where Warner was the man in the striped sweater.

Highly recommend this documentary.  So many amazing stories about the production of these films.  And nothing was sugar-coated.  Lots of war stories.

Absolutely loved every minute of it.
