Don’t throw away that popcorn bucket!

The things people throw away….Well, you can’t keep everything, but sometimes it’s good to hang on some stuff. Take this for example:

This popcorn bucket (and yes, it was used) sold a couple months ago for $410! Now I must say, the graphics on this Monster popcorn bucket are very groovy indeed, not to mention the condition was very nice for an old cardboard container that was once filled with buttery popcorn.

I’m guessing this bucket is from the late 60’s-mid 70’s (I did not see a date), and I’m not sure what movies were shown when these things made their rounds. The bucket is marked “General Cinema Corporation”.

The moral of this story (sound better than saying the moral of this blog entry) is…….If the movie theaters ever start handed out cool and creepy popcorn buckets, you might want to ask for no butter with you popcorn, and find a little storage space in your basement (or collectors shelf/monster room), and put it away for a few decades.
