Halloween Puppets

Lots of children had at least one puppet in their toy collection growing up. Puppets were common place, easy to make, and provided kids with the opportunity to have their own theater show with their friends and family as an audience.

From time to time you see “Halloween” puppets at auctions or sales, but usually these puppets are not purely Halloween items. Obviously witches, skeletons, and devils conjure up imagery of Halloween, but that doesn’t mean that these images are totally directed at the Halloween market.

Here’s an example of a simple Halloween puppet that certainly exudes the Halloween spirit in every detail.

This little guy was made by the E.Rosen Company in the 1960’s…It sold for $80, although I have seen examples sell for $50-$60.
